Which regulations does it check?

REACH (SVHC candidate list), RoHS restricted substances, and POP (persistent organic pollutants), all resolved against your own master compliance workbook.

What is the difference between REACH, RoHS and POP?

REACH is the EU's general chemicals regulation, covering registration and the SVHC Candidate List across all substances and articles. RoHS restricts ten specific hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. POP bans or severely restricts persistent organic pollutants, chemicals that do not break down and build up in the environment. A product can be checked against all three at once.

What if my product number is not found?

The tool reports it as not found rather than guessing. A common cause is a leading zero: if you type "0123" but the workbook stores "123", they will not match, and the tool flags entries like this so you can check them.

Can I use a supplier's declaration workbook instead of the master file?

Yes. When the file is not laid out like the master workbook, the tool proposes a column mapping from the headers it finds; confirm or correct it before running.

What does the pre-flight check catch before a run starts?

Structural problems that would otherwise surface as a wrong or missing result: a required sheet not present, a header that does not match what a column is expected to contain, or a critical column, such as the product-ID column, missing entirely. A fatal pre-flight issue blocks the run until it is fixed.
